Nude photography sessions capture the aesthetics and form of the human body. It also emphasizes light, composition, and texture. In a typical fine art nude photography session, the model is photographed and guided through poses. 

The idea of nude boudoir photography is to work in dynamic lighting conditions in the studio.

If you don’t think you are ready to go totally nude, you can always choose to wear your sensual lingerie or that you feel comfortable inf during the photo session.

Before we start shooting with a client we prepare her physically, mentally, and emotionally. This is important so that we can create the best images from her sessions. As a photographer, I will also work hard to make sure my clients feel comfortable in front of the camera. 

History of Nude Photography

Even before the development of the camera and the photographic process, nude art was already around.  This artistic heritage dates back centuries, so when the camera was made, the first nudes were also taken.

Throughout history, the art nude has always been controversial among all forms of media. Due to its realism, nude photography became even more controversial. Despite that, photographers and artists will always have a major interest in the human body.

Boudoir Photography

Boudoir photography is the type of photography that is focused on sexy depictions of its model. Sometimes, it can also focus on erotic interest.

A boudoir photographer creates and generates ideas and sensual images of a man and a woman in their normal location such as the bedroom. It may also be a place where the subject feels most comfortable. Boudoir photography is usually done for the personal empowerment of the model.

The clients for boudoir photography may also be a couple -- a man and a woman. They will be photographed together to create sensual and intimate images that the couple can treasure and keep.

There is always the erotic part of boudoir photography. However, it is usually only lying somewhere in the background. The erotic interest is only secondary to artistic considerations. 

In a particularly fine art boudoir session, the clients are photographed in and made to do unusual poses under unconventional lighting inside the studio. The boudoir photo shoot may also be done in unusual settings outdoors, provided the model is alright with it.

Preparing for Boudoir Photoshoot

Here at Femme Art Boudoir, we love photographing women in their most intimate lingerie and produce images that show how elegant they are in their own skin.

More than any genre in photography, boudoir photoshoots demand a good and comfortable subject and photographer relationship. The model should be totally at ease in front of the camera while in lingerie or totally nude. 

To ensure a successful boudoir session, there are some things that must be done. Firstly, the photographer should be clear about what he/she wants his/her photos to look like. They must begin with the end in mind.

The team must coordinate with each other to plan the makeup, the hair, the wardrobe, the background equipment, the light, and the overall style. 

On the exact day of the boudoir session, the photographer will be the one to coach the client through the different poses for the photos. Lastly, the team will do post-production on the quality of the photos and put them together before they are delivered to the client.
